Ike's - Monterey

There was nothing particularly imaginative, but the food was very good and filling. There were plenty of vegan sandwich options available. I just wish they had more seating! Ike's is definitely a step above other fast-casual sandwich places.

This restaurant has a wide variety of vegetarian sandwiches, many of which can be easily made vegan. The great thing is that you don't have to specify what to veganize, you simply order the sandwich and ask for it to be made vegan. I tried the Sally sandwich veganized and it was delicious. They use Tofurkey discs as a substitute for turkey. The vegan cheese used was a melted white cheese - I'm not sure of the brand. The vegetables were fresh, especially the avocado. Don't miss out on this place if you're in Monterey. The city may not have the best vegan options, but this place is excellent!

I absolutely loved their vegan sandwich made with meat-free ingredients. It was probably the best sandwich I have ever had. The portion size of the sandwich was really generous, although the portion of fries was a bit small (but they were so delicious that I wanted more). This review was updated on October 16, 2021.

Husband and I both have meatless mikes with vegan cheese. they were pretty good, nothing imaginable. good lunch option in the city for vegans. I recommend ordering ahead to avoid waiting in long lines.

I'm not much of a sandwich guy, but I could appreciate Ike's. I got the Sometimes I'm A Vegetarian (sub Marinara for Pesto and ask for it vegan).
