Bistro La Seigneurie - Montebello

This place offers a great ambience, a good service and some uniqueness.I expect food prices for a lunch to be higher by like 150%-200%. But therefore I still expect a decent quality.Unfortunately, the you can get similar food at any other truck stop. It is a pitty.I would have rather liked to pay an additional 50% on top to get something special and enjoy the overall experience.

Had a reservation and did not get seated until over half an hour later. Staff was amazing and courteous but service was incredibly slow. Food was mediocre at best.

What a disappointment! The food at this restaurant is good, but the service we experienced was very poor. There was no problem ordering drinks and being served the first course. When it came to the main course we’d ordered a bottle of red wine and were told it would be opened and kept on the side until ready to be served. There was a reasonably long wait after the first course (not a problem in itself, although the starter plates were not cleared). The main course was then served by a member of staff who was not our server with the starter plates still on the table (he offered to bring us ketchup and mayo, but these never arrived). That server quickly removed the starter plates, but there was no cutlery for the main course and no wine. When the server who had originally taken our order reappeared, she told us that the wine we’d ordered was no longer available. We then ordered a different bottle. When we tasted our main courses, both were cold. They’d clearly been sitting for some time before being served. We sent one of them back and when it eventually returned it was warm. It wasn’t the cold food that was the problem as much as the server’s inability to see that this was an issue. When the bill came we didn’t feel that we could leave a tip. Despite what had happened the server challenged us on this. When we explained that it was to do with not being told sooner that he wine wasn’t available and leaving the food to get cold before serving it, she said that neither of these was her fault. This could have been a wonderful evening but turned out to be a great disappointment.

Packed on a Thursday night. Food and service were outstanding, and reasonable considering the quality. We were on our way to Montreal. This summer we will make a detour back from Vermont so we can eat there again.

Absolutely incredible food and very reasonable prices. Wish I lived closer because I’d be eating here all the time. Servers were very friendly and helpful even despite how busy it was.
