Northwood - MONTE RIO

We had a great dinner at Northwood. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was friendly and festive. The prime rib was perfectly served, and the shrimp scampi was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Forgot to write this review but it was so vivid that I can remember it like it was yesterday. On Father’s Day last year a man and his son was at the bar and he was drunk AF. He walked over to my table with my dad and my grandfather and sister and pulled his pants down briefly IN FRONT OF A CHILD and put his arm around my dad’s shoulder. There was a little girl on the other side of the room and she was staring at him. The waitress had a lot on her plate and saw the man and shook her head but she could not do anything at the moment. I approached the manager telling him that this man was causing a commotion at our table and NOTHING was done. It was so busy during Father’s Day that I feel like we were ignored. I am born and raised in Monte Rio and we have been coming here our entire life and never have I ever experienced something like that. P.s., the man only left our table after my grandfather yelled at him saying “Get the hell out of here.” I’m just surprised that the manager did nothing during this time and I hope nothing like this ever happens again we still go here but that one experience has stayed with us. Older lady who seems to own and run this place needs to retire, just like the food, fit for an outdated budget retirement home. Over and under cooked food on the same plate. This course can do better. Needs to do better. This eatery is foul. Same quality as a Denny’s off the freeway. Anyone who’s left a good review needs to seriously check their standards. The woman here is despicable, attitude suggests she’s obsessed with profit over quality and money hungry and rude. Surely everything here is made out of a box of premade stuff off a frozen food truck, bring your own snacks or go eat somewhere that deserves your business. This place is a sore in wine country and the redwoods. Filth. Don’t give this person . Absolutely scam worthy eatery. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

We had dinner, and were so pleased. Our server, Chase, was amazing. He really was one of the best servers we’ve had ever. The coconut cream pie was so so good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
