Micasa Bar Restaurant Drink - MONOPOLI

Excellent! One of the two best experiences we made in Puglia (the other was Bari's Mastro Ciccio). Staff were nice, the food was excellent, the site is great as the wind cools you down even on a hot day. Highly recommended!

Outstanding! Not to be missed! My husband and I were in the old part of Monopoli for seven nights and dined out in a lot of different restaurants, for us MiCasa was by far the best and so much so that every time we tried to find somewhere as good we were a bit disappointed. The food was all good in the other places but this was the best and the service was better by far. So we decided we must return which we did and we were blown away again by the food and service and the absolutely friendly and kind welcome we got each time from Bartolo. We have traveled all over Italy many times and appreciate good wine and good food, if you enjoy sea food Monopoli will not disappoint. At MiCasa you have to try their Sapori di Puglia, Gamberoni, Sea Bream and most of all do not miss the Piatto di crudo mare as it is the most amazing thing I have ever tasted. Well done to the chef who is very innovative and we are not easy to please as our son is a top chef in London and so we have eaten with the best. Prices are very reasonable too, very affordable. We were given a very knowledgable run down on the local wines by Bartolo and found a wine that we loved very much and will be importing some for our personal stock at home and coming from South Africa we are quite fussy about our wines. I hope to get back some day soon to Monopoli as it is magical and this will be the first place we stop.

Micasa overlooks the old castle and the sea. It is beside another restaurant and separated by a rope!! This aside, it is a great location and the food was very good. It is the only place that we could find offering gluten free pasta, so we ate there a couple of times. Service is a little slow, this gave us more time to enjoy the view and it is a great place to people watch.

10/10 food, drink, price, service and kindness : since then i recommend rhis place to everyone who goes to monopoli and they also love it
