El Gato Loco - Mogadore

All other Mexican restaurants are sub par compare to elgato loco. I eat here once a week when possible. Their salsa is the best. Great people and service!

El Gato Loco is a really good, little Mexican restaurant in Mogadore, Ohio. I have tried something from every section of the menu and been impressed. The owner, Oscar is amazing. Stopped in today and the chips and cheese dip were different. The new chips are thicker and overpowered the taste of the salsa. The first few months of visiting, the cheese dip was a wonderful, creamy white with peppers. Today's cheese dip was not creamy white and became a little grainy as it cooled. Here's to hoping that these are just temporary changes because the originals were fantastic and reminded me of my favorite Mexican restaurant in Northwest, Ohio.

We have driven through Mogadore several times and wondered how the food was but never stopped in. A local woman was chatting with my husband at his dentist office and her description of the food and drinks made us give it a try. The complimentary Chips and salsa were very good. I had a regular Margarita on the rocks (ok I had two! . They were great! Will try one of their flavored options next time we go. I ordered the fried burrito with ground beef, beans and rice. All were delicious. My husband had a vegetarian meal which was really good as well. The portions seemed more right sized than other Mexican restaurants and the prices were in line with the portion size. Service was quick and friendly. While the restaurant is small, it was clean and pleasant. This restaurant will be added to our list of favorites!
