Twin Rivers Saloon - Modesto

What a dive. I loved it! Amanda greeted us from behind the bar as soon as we walked in. Immediately took our orders even though the place was busy. Cold cheladas in hand we ordered burgers. One with seasoned fries, the other with onion rings. The burgers were perfect and delicious and even had branded buns! The appetizer of cheese curds was crispy and cheesy with ranch and marinara dipping sauces. The decor embraces its dive roots with dollar bills hanging everywhere and a pool table in the middle of the space. There's a huge outside area with a stage for concerts and games. I felt immediately relaxed and satisfied hanging out here for an hour. The only criticism is the bathroom. It needs some maintenance if not a renovation but it beats a portapot which they also have outside which can accommodate the crowds they draw here.

This restaurant has a fun atmosphere with a dive bar feel, but it is surprisingly clean. The tacos and gizzards burgers are excellent, and the staff is friendly. It may be a bit off the beaten path, but it is definitely worth the trip.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for people in Modesto! We were immediately welcomed and seated on a Sunday, with clean tables and booth seats. There are plenty of affordable options on the menu. Our appetizers arrived in 5 minutes, and the cheese curds were deliciously crispy with a gooey cheese pull. The marinara sauce had a nice herbal flavor, but I preferred dipping them in ranch. The onion rings were exceptional with a light golden fry. Our sandwiches arrived about 12 minutes later. The Chicken Sandwich was tasty but could have used more sauce. The PB&J burger was unique and underrated. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adjusting the music volume when requested. Our waitress, Dallas, was funny and helpful. I would definitely return to this excellent restaurant!

We usually like The Twin. We hope they can add more options for draft beer and improve their bathrooms. We've been coming here since it was Chick Judy's MINT CLUB. The new owners have made the backyard area look great. It's nice that they allow kids to play there.

The food is very good at a great price. There is plenty of room in the back to host large parties.
