Hicks Cafe - Mitchell

My husband and I were en route to London and stopped at Hick’s Cafe for a bite after checking Trip Advisor. We each enjoyed a soup and sandwich combo, my hubby a full and myself a smaller senior version. The soups were homemade and absolutely...delicious loaded with meat, veggies and herbs. Sandwiches were fresh with a generous portion of roast beef and summer sausage(my favourite). The owners were very welcoming and we finished off lunch with the included coffee and an additional blueberry muffin and butter tart which I had eyed when we first came in and couldn’t leave without.

I love this place. I wish more people discovered it.the food is very good and the charm of the place makes eating there special

If you need a quick sandwich this place will suffice. Nothing special about the deli meats or presentation of the food. I wouldn't say to not eat here, but it is not my first choice.

Ok Mitchell is one of those towns where if you blink you've past it. That said, one place you have to stop at is Hick's Cafe. We were in search of something to eat, being famished, and once inside we knew we found the right...spot. Good selection of food, and a very friendly chef. One thing we were very impressed with was that all the produce is from local suppliers. Something you taste immediately. We had a typical grill type lunch of Western Sandwich with coffee. Made to perfection. Situated in the old town hotel bar, the decor offers an historical interest which adds to the enjoyed lunch. If you pass through Mitchell, stop at Hicks for a quick bite.

Couldn't say anything other than fantastic...comfortable and no pressure to leave....wonderful way to catch up with friends
