Pizza Luce Lyndale Ave - Minneapolis

I have always been a fan of Pizza Luce. This particular location features a charming interior and a lovely outdoor porch, perfect for enjoying in the summer. I especially appreciated the delicious vegan dessert they offer.

There are several vegan appetizers and pizza choices available at this restaurant. However, the selection of vegan desserts is limited to only a couple options.

We ordered delivery and got the Vegan Athena pizza, with the Violife vegan cheese, and an order of Lucky Birds (think chickenless nuggets) with buffalo sauce. I really like the crust of the pizza so I was pretty happy. And the mozzarella alternative was a step up from Da*ya and it melted well. I would skip the nuggets, they didn't add much but the buffalo sauce was excellent. I would order again, but not when I'm on a tight budget.

Service was super. Tons of vegan options. Had a meatball appetizer and a pesto chicken sandwich. The house-made cheese spread was pretty good (got it on some garlic bread). Overall the food was just a little bland and the mock chicken in the sandwich was a little too soft.

Lots of great vegan options! The vegan cheese here is great.
