Stopped in on a whim with a friend to have lunch. We both ordered the fish fry special. Good hearty proportions. Good quality deep fried taste, mouth watering coleslaw and thin crispy Fries. Highly recommend you go indulge. Even sent a tip to cook for a well job done. Staff was very prompt and pleasant. I'm most definitely going to re-visit.

Grabbed a bite on a layover yesterday. The Juicy Lucy is very good and the beer list is solid for a neighborhood joint. Best bite was the onion rings by far. Plus my beer glass was never empty, great service and local vibe.

Hopped off the metro when I saw this place. Neighborhood dive with friendly service, great food, and an impressive beer selection. If you're flying into MSP consider taking the blue line and getting a bite here.

This relaxing neighborhood dive bar is exactly what you are looking for! The tater tots are some of the best in the city. It is easy to get to as it is on the Light Rail at 38th street station. Decent beer selection, TVs for the game, food, pull tabs, pool, darts...something for everyone. Cheers! Edit I raised this to 5 stars. The more I visit The Cardinal the better it gets!
