We thought we found our favorite steakhouse in NYC until we came to Reds. We started our dinner with the Calamari and Caesar salad, which was so beautifully paired together. Followed by the 8 ounces Waygu zartloin with the creamy corn and truffle pasta for dinner. Everything was perfect, indescribably perfect. That was the best dinner? ve had since our NYC trip. Thank you. Niko, for the excellent service! We'll be back. IG/FB/Twitter @KJtheCloser
Amazing location and food! The food portions are massive! We enjoyed every dish we had! The chicken parmigiana was amazing (and it is not on the menu, but they make it when you ask and it is a hidden gem) steaks are perfect! There were only two of us and we ordered too much food! Wednesday is half price wine bottles!
Terrible. Almost everything we ordered was too salty. We ordered oysters with caviar, but oysters were not creamy at all. Vinaigrette Sauce was too salty and killed caviar. Calamari was not crispy at all. Only wet and oily. Tomato sauce for octopus was salty. Steaks were not cooked the temperature we ordered. One of them was gamy. The manager came to us and took it to the kitchen to check it with chef, but she came back and offered a little more cooked because both boss and boss smelled it and they thought it was good. So we were so good. They attacked the same steak we said it was gamy and brought it back to us. She said it was rare, so it was probably a little ****. We tasted it again, but it wasn't the same. It was the same steak they served me and of course still gamy. We expected them to cook at least a fresh steak. Wild mushroom and Brussels sprouts were salty again. We had to send them back and ask them to cook without salt. We ordered NY cheesecake and pumpkin cream brûlée for dessert. Both had exactly the same clothing and fruits. Besides, they didn't even taste delicious. They were below average. Our waitress was very nice. We didn't like food at all. We paid $500 for two people. The money wasn't worth it. This is a chic restaurant, but we didn't feel that way. You have to work much better.
Red was recommended to us by the bartender at our hotel and referred to it as ?the most underrated steakhouse in Miami?. I can?t disagree with his sentiment. The atmosphere was very contemporary as you would expect in Miami. I was surprised by the extensive bourbon and the wine selection. I had an old fashioned, which is usually a gamble outside of Kentucky but the bartender did exceptionally well. Attire was casual to dressy casual. The staff was great! Just casual enough to feel at home but professional enough for the atmosphere of the restaurant. I had the wagyu filet, the chef came out to show the certificate and it was prepared perfectly. Expect $50- $100 a person.
