My first time to Shogun and a man walking out was raving about the sushi. Coming for the hibachi with family, I decided to add one California roll just to see... but it was not up to the man's hype. To put things in context though... they were closing early for the superbowl, and still agreed to seat us for the hibachi show... so I will give them a pass. The hibachi was fantastic, both food and show. Everyone was very satisfied and the portions are extreme! But, I prefer to ask for my to-go boxes rather than have them suggested to me... and I'll give that a pass this time too. 5 stars with the benefit of doubt. Let's see if they keep them next time we go!

I absolutely love this place. Been coming here since I was a kid. It’s kind of like moms cooking. The lunch specials are still reasonably priced. The tempura lunch was 9.75. It has about 6 pieces of tempura, rice, seaweed salad, soup, two broccoli stalks, and shredded cabbage with ginger dressing. That is a ton of food for 10 bucks. The beef teriyaki comes with same stuff and was also excellent. Beef was cooked perfect. I moved to BR a few years ago and there is nothing that compares to Shogun.
