Americansoul Kitchen - Meriden

Our first time went and was not disappointed. I ordered fried green tomatoes and creamy crab corn chowder as my appetizer, which was amazing. Our duck was a shrimp basket containing thinly cut French pommes and Koleslaw. My men were a south-fried chicken sandwich, which contained thinly cut French pommes with one side of a Hubbard Punschdrinks and the beer (not on their menu). Very tasty and very clean. We're going back. Hot Note: Please be kind and patient with the waitress and bartender. The man behind me was a little rude and wasn't even there for 10 minutes. Anyway, we'll be back!!

On a Sunday afternoon we had a late lunch and early booking dinner at 4:00. Between us four we have wings, crabs and corn-chowder, fried chicken, chicken and waffles, lobster Mac and cheese and a caesar salad with grilled chicken. And the bread. Friendly staff, but above all, incredible food. Everything was so tasty, even my salad I felt strangely ordered (because who goes to a place like this and gets a salad?! I will definitely visit again when I'm back in the area. Worth a ride!

I'm so glad I'm going here. Nakajai was our server and she was great. Super attentive and great suggestions made and made me feel at home. I was in a few other soul food places in CT, (do not want to put them on the spot), and they have NOTHING on this spot! I ordered the “Fried Whiting” with Mac cheese and crowned greens, and MY GOODNESS! Whoever is back is a WIZARD

Great service! Delicious food serves hot and fresh tasting good portions, well made drinks not watered... First visit was for early dinner and happy hour. Second Nabeby brought for dinner. Look forward to a quick return!!

American Soul is worth the trip From anywhere! The food is outstanding and the staff is friendly and accommodating! Stevie tends a tidy, friendly and efficient bar! The beer is nice and cold. I’ve had the lobster Mac cheese which was great and served in a large portion! The country fried steak is perfectly seasoned and served piping hot! Im going back often. Trying the Sunday brunch tomorrow!
