Utsav Indian Restaurant - Melbourne

Staff gave out presents to all the mothers in the restaurant on Mother’s Day. Simple yet amazing gesture. Food was delicious. Prawn curry was a favourite. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I was impressed by how quickly our meals (butter chicken and lamb korma) arrived, all at the same time, along with fresh, crispy garlic naan.

Best Indian we have ever had. Food great service great and price is great. The butter chicken is excellent. Been here many times and got home delivery multiple times and never had a bad meal.

After attending a football game on Saturday, we decided to forgo cooking dinner and instead ordered takeout from Utsav. It was our first time trying their curries, and we were impressed with the restaurant when we went to pick up our order. There were a few people dining early at 6pm, and the staff we interacted with were friendly. After a spicy experience at another restaurant last week, I made sure to request a mild butter chicken. The dish turned out to be very sweet, which may be their standard recipe, but it was still better than last week's option. I enjoyed their garlic naan and the complimentary pappadums that came with the meal. The portion size was generous, and there was plenty of chicken in the dish. Overall, while Utsav was good, Taj Mahal remains my favorite spot for butter chicken.

I love it.  I've been probably 5 times over the last 2 3 years and each and every time the service has been friendly and attentive, the food is just yum with a nice atmosphere to boot.  It's not cheap or expensive I think it's somewhere in between and good value for money.  I'll be back.
