Konban Japanese Restaurant - Melbourne

Tucked away at the top end of ringwood is this little place that does fantastic food. I have never placed a review about any restaurant before but this place warants one. friendly service and great food. try the beef with miso mayo its temder eye fillet with a fantastic sauce. cant wait to go back. Some of the best sushi I've ever had, beautifully served food and the gyoza is amazing. Would recommend 10/10 for Japanese in this area for sure.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. The Soft Crab roll and Nasudan were my favorites and really made my day. The simple yet elegant decor and soft music create the perfect ambiance for a lovely family dinner.

My partner and I had a sushi craving and decided to come here for dinner. We had salmon，tuna，chicken and soft shell crab sushi. All of which was very good，recommended，and looking forward to returning to try some hot dishes one day.I should also mention，the waiter and his service was excellent.

The service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and humorous, creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. As for the food, it was delicious. We enjoyed gyoza, seaweed salad, California rolls, and octopus balls for starters, all of which were fantastic. For our main courses, we tried salmon tataki, beef tataki, chicken udon, chili prawns, and chicken katsu don. Everyone at the table was pleased with their dishes, particularly praising the tender beef and fantastic dressing on the tataki. The salmon was outstanding, and even though I usually find Japanese curries too mild, the chicken katsu don was flavorful and satisfying. Dessert was equally impressive, with options such as chocolate cake, fried banana, green tea ice cream, and black sesame ice cream. The black sesame ice cream was a standout for me, but all of the desserts were delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, made even better by a few mango beers. I will definitely be returning to Konban in the future.
