Box Seafood Restaurant - Melbourne

My man and I ate in the box restaurant last night before I went to the regent theatre. eating was delicious, but more than the service we received, and the ambiente of the restaurant was amazing. our waiter was, phillipe, he was attentive and...while our desires and needs and quite honestly we couldn't talk a lot about him, the owner came to our table and chatted us what was a very nice note. well made box, very well made.

I made a last-minute reservation at On a Pfeife and Sarah, the lovely owner, quickly arranged a table for us within 45 minutes. She warmly welcomed us upon our arrival to this charming family-owned restaurant. Sarah and her brother run the place together, along with other staff members. We wanted to indulge in a special meal, so we ordered the hot seafood platter. It was beautifully presented, fresh, and expertly cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and felt that it was worth the price. Sarah provided excellent customer service, being friendly and attentive, even when we got a bit chatty. We wish Sarah and her team all the best in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant for a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere, as well as for their delicious and fresh seafood dishes.

The starters and main dishes were fantastic. The linguine, risotto, and chili prawns were out of this world. The service at the beginning was excellent. We can't wait to come back for the shellfish with burnt butter on our next visit.

Where to start...It was a beautiful start to an evening. My partner and I were seeing a show at The Regent and needed somewhere to enjoy a nice meal prior...well we weren't disappointed to say the least. Upon arrival my partner and I were greeted...at the door by whom appeared to be the owner, walking through the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful wall art and general feel to the place. As for the warm nature of the staff it was a genuine rarity to be treated the way we were, and for this reason we are so happy to be providing this review. The most difficult part of the evening was choosing what to order off the menu as it was full of the most tantalizing sounding dishes. My partner ordered the Atlantic Salmon as a starter which was undoubtably some of the best eaten, mains where king Prawns and I went for a stuffed chicken breast. The food was of an exceptional standard and left us more than content. Finishing the meal with a baked cheesecake topped with a berry coulis and accompanied by the most flavor intense berry sorbet we've eaten, this was a most divine end to our meal. The wine was equally as enjoyable and complimented the dinner superbly. Overall the experience was memorable and we had both said to each other that this would undoubtably not be our last time here. We could not recommend Box restaurant more highly, you will surely not be disappointed. Kelly David
