Bidrage med feedbackReal good food! Love the pizza, and fries. Everything I've had has been excellent. Had a BLT club yesterday and the only complaint I have is that the lettuce was too thick. Less lettuce please. Like to eat on the side with the bar. There is a guy waiter there and he is very friendly
A very nice family style restaurant with an informal setting. The food is extraordinarily good. The scallops are a must try.
Coleslaw was excellent. Prime rib was really nice. The staff is friendly inviting and they stop well short of being intrusive. And the coleslaw did I mention is awesome
Village Pizzeria Restaurant used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Granted this was eight or ten years ago, and I haven 't really been back since... but I still dream about their calzones, onion rings, and baklava. That counts for something, right? (By the way, that was literally. Not figuratively. I literally dream about their food. Calzones: I believe a cheese calzone that 's 10 inch is around $6, a 14 inch is around $10. Listen, I 'm a glutton, and that smaller option is PLENTY of food. As in: you 're gonna feel swollen from all the calzone you couldn 't help but to just stuff into your body. Now, interestingly enough, the first time I ever ordered a cheese calzone here, they prepared it WITHOUT the sauce on the inside of the calzone with the cheese, and instead had a bowl of cold pizza sauce on the side for me to dip the calzone in. I didn 't ask for it to be made this way, and I don 't know if this was simply a mistake on their part... but it revolutionized the way I eat calzones and now it 's the ONLY way I order them. Village 's calzones have never let me down, either (while every other one I 've ever eaten since has : they were always baked to golden perfection with an overwhelming amount of hot, gooey, melted cheese inside... and then dredged through that cold pizza sauce? Your mind might actually explode from all the delicious textures, flavors, and temperatures. Onion Rings: I believe a small order is $3ish and a large order is $4ish. Go with the large. No matter how much food it seems like it 's going to be (and it 's going to be , go with the large. I don 't know if they 're homemade or frozen. All I know is: they 're really, really as in I 'll fight you to the death good. All that fried and crunchy coating (I loathe the puffy dough kind of onion rings, so these are AMAZING , with the delicious hot onion inside? No, there 's nothing healthy about my calzone and onion ring meal... but it 's darn good comfort/winter/PMS/break up food. Baklava: I don 't know if they still have the baklava there (again, or if it was homemade or not , but when they did it was always so delicious. And a fab way to end an already very heavy meal. Neither the exterior or interior of the restaurant is going to win any awards... but somehow, it still feels welcoming. It 's simple. It 's no frills. It 's small town lovely where everyone 's friends. Definitely a stop (for me and my heart, obviously whenever I 'm passing through the area!
This is one of the best places to eat in mechanic Falls. I make it a point every time I visit from out of state to stop and have a meal here. Most recently I had their cheeseburger club with fries and I have to say it's one of the best cheeseburger clubs I have ever had. One of my family members ordered the seafood platter and honestly it was one of the better platters I have seen as everything was not dripping with oil but was cooked perfectly. If you are in the mechanic Falls area you have to stop and try this place out, trust me you will not be disappointed.
