Big Sandy Lodge Resort Northern Minnesota Lodging

We attended a family wedding here a few weeks ago. The service was terrible (did not receive first course of food until 8:30 p.m. The meat was delicious, however, the potatoes were undercooked and the asparagus was overcooked. Seating was cramped and there was not enough seating for our family. The cake was horrible (not sure if it was made on sight or brought in . We went here for my 51st birthday meal only! Had wonderful food, while sitting at the Bar. Good company, friendly bartender and server. Learned my husband knew these folks from years ago, from different settings. Had the server take pictures of us out on the deck, overlooking Big Sandy Lake, just as the sun was going down.

I?ve been going to big sandy lodge for years with my family as an annual tradition! The lakes, nature, and quality of the cabin were all great! Food was super yummy and the little arcade was so awesome!! Cant wait to see everyone again this year!

Had a great family vacation at Big Sandy. Was married here 8 years ago and have come back every year since. The lodge pool is great fun. It was a bummer the hot tub was down but by the last day they had it running which was great. The servers are so nice and so was Anya at the front desk. The place was rented was clean and look freshly painted. Love that you can rent a boat right there and there?s a bar there as well. Thanks Big Sandy. We?ll see you next year.

We went into the restaurant for the Friday fish fry buffet. The grounds, lobby, and dining room presented clean and well maintained. We were seated immediately and we were promptly offered beverages. The salad and soup bar was amply supplied and the soup was fantastic. Although we did not have a server per se, there was no shortage of attention.
