Bidrage med feedbackFour of us ate another beautiful lunch in this great little restaurant. it is not the first time that we were here and it will certainly not be the last. we had the menu ouvrier, which today included 5 courses, with cauliflower and squash suppe, followed by. a magnificent terrine, both accompanied by wonderful homemade broth rolls. the main course of beef daube was melted in mouth tender and tasty and the cheese curs included two local cheese. finally came dessert when we all thought, "can no longer eat mouthful," but we did justice to a magnificent chocolate cake with crème pat. a carafe red wine kept the food company and of course there was coffee to finish. we all explained the meal “delicious” to our hostess who was as usual charming. all this for the sum of 13,50 euro per person! hard to believe, but give it an attempt, they will not be disappointed.
The best food in France so far. small menu, but eating was excellent. great friendly service. will be back before we go home
Very nice place to see and eat here. people are very friendly and the place is exactly how they imagine it, just like in the films. 100% recompensive
We spent a few days on a nearby campsite and ate here at our last night. I wish we had found it earlier. the fixed price menus were a good value for money and eating was absolutely delicious. it is a long time since I had one. meal in a restaurant that was as good as that. we decided to have the 3 cursor menu for €20 and it was amazing. there was a child's meal consisting of an salad, pasta with chicken and ice for dessert. great price and our very fussiger son ate it! all our dishes were excellent. highly recommended. if they are in the opposite, book a table!
My wife and I (and our dog) visited this restaurant on my birthday on a recommendation from a friend. The friendly couple who run it, apply a simple but effective system whereby a single menu is offered at a fixed price. On Saturday night we...paid €20 each for a four course meal comprising a starter of Charentais melon, various charcuterie and green salad, followed by some very good beef (served with sauteed potatoes, grilled tomatoes and salad), followed by a cheese course and then dessert (profiteroles). The house wines were acceptable and the total bill was very reasonable at €50 for the two of us. The place has a lovely ambience, most of the clientele were evidently local, and the simple menu was cleverly designed to avoid much actual cooking. If I could suggest a couple of things, it would be to be a bit more adventurous with the cheese course by offering more variety, and to improve the profiteroles with some freshly made warm chocolate sauce the chocolate sauce served to us was disappointing. But all in all this is a terrific place and well worth a visit if you're in the area.
