At the arrival sitting immediately and then nothing for at least 10mins, no drinks offered and no menu. service very slow and indifferent. eat very average.
I've been feeding in the olivier for over 20 years and I'm sad to see a slow down in quality. not, I have to add, in the kitchen, but in the service that is very impeccable and can be painfully slow and also. in the general decoration that is bad in the renovation, especially as from a critic, the old chairs from the former gourmet restaurant, who really need to replace as the sources have gone and sitting in them is quite unpleasant. and with slow service you sit in them for long! the kitchen itself is generally of a high standard and sometimes very high. the last meal that we had there included a bacon with béarnaise sauce that was great! perfectly cooked on our request and the sauce was beautiful. the selection of weeping is good, with many Valais wines available and the price of the wee is right. (the reviewer who received a bill for 180frs for 4 glasses wein was obviously the victim of a server error, and I hope she or he pointed out! I am, however, convinced that food prices are annoyed with the general quality in which it is currently. almost 200frs for dinner for two people with open wine is too much!
Best value and best cuisine in Martigny. Gastro and French style. Very good quality/price. The meat are wonderfull and filet de perches in sommer are delicious !
