Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant was positively bustling during the weekend lunch peak. Servers were aplenty, but constantly occupied with the never-ending flow of incoming traffic. For the most part, food delivery was prompt and attitude levels were kept to a minimum. Communicating our orders was not an item of concern for us, nor the surrounding Cantonese- or Mandarin-speaking guests. For those that are looking for detailed explanations on individual menu items though, you probably won't find that here.
The noodle soup with fish tofu was decent, with generous portions and a moderate level of saltiness. However, it wasn't particularly memorable, possibly because I opted for a mild spice level. It would be nice if there was a medium option available, but fortunately, there are jars of chili oil on the tables so you can customize the spice level to your preference. Many dishes also come with milk tea, which is a nice touch. I would return to this restaurant if I were in the area again, mainly to enjoy the Hainanese chicken all to myself.
After living in Markham for 10 years, I consider myself well-versed in the food scene here. Those who claim that the prices and quality are average clearly don't know what they're talking about. This restaurant offers delicious food in a casual cafe-style setting, making it one of the best in Markham for that type of cuisine. However, I find the prices to be on the higher side compared to other similar establishments. For example, there is an additional charge of $3 for changing a drink to a cold one, which seems excessive. Other places typically charge only $1 or $1.50 for the same service. Despite the slightly higher prices, the food is undeniably delicious. The cleanliness of the restaurant is also a plus, distinguishing it from other eateries in the area. On weekends during peak hours, the restaurant is always busy, with a wait time of around 20-30 minutes even when there are plenty of available tables. This popularity is a testament to the quality of the food, which keeps customers coming back despite the higher prices.
If you find yourself in Markham, you absolutely have to try the Chinese cuisine at this restaurant. Every dish on the menu is incredibly tasty. While the prices here may be slightly higher than other Chinese restaurants nearby, the exceptional quality and cleanliness more than make up for it. I personally love ordering the pork chop baked rice or the fish noodle soup.
This is a Hong Kong style tea house restaurant, food are very tasty and consistent. It's a fast food restaurant, so don't expect fine dinning service.
