Anglers Tavern - Maribyrnong

Maybe the worst finger food for a ticket. $160 for 2 people and we have chips, jumps reels and frozen burgers. Told food would come at 2pm 3pm 4pm. First record was thrown and the bar and had to fight between us at 3:30. Then the same food came again and again. Biggest waste of money and very poor food. Never again! I felt demolished.

Father's lunch. Given the fact that there is a set 3 course menu and confirmed bookings, would you think that such a large venue would get it right?? The fact that you had to put yourself together and order was bad enough, a special occasion like this, you would think they had table service. Half of our ducks came out and ended before the rest arrived. We arrived at 1:00 and the net came at 3:00. My son couldn't stop when he had to leave to start work at 4:00. The main thing was cold and the beef was hard. They were only 4 main things to choose from so no excuses. TERRIBLE

The Anglers' Tavern is located alongside the Maribyrnong River. The outdoor beer garden is a perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing drink on a sunny day. The beer is consistently cold and the staff behind the bar are welcoming. The menu at Anglers' Tavern offers typical pub-style dishes, with their fish and chips being a standout choice. With the easing of Covid restrictions, more patrons are now enjoying a day out at the tavern.

My family and I dined at this restaurant on a rainy summer evening. The staff accommodated our request to change tables due to the wet weather. The restaurant offers a great view of the Maribyrnong River, but the food is only average pub fare; nothing exceptional. However, the desserts were delicious and served in generous portions.

Every year, my family gathers here for our annual Christmas lunch. However, this tradition will come to an end after a recent visit where the staff showed no care. The food was inedible, with not a single meal being enjoyed by any of us. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she agreed that the food was not up to standard and mentioned that they had been receiving similar complaints. She advised us to speak to management for a refund, but the staff were reluctant to issue one. Eventually, they offered a voucher, despite our stated intention not to return. The staff were unhelpful and impolite throughout the ordeal. We sent an email that afternoon expressing our disappointment, but have yet to receive a response. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
