Bidrage med feedbackExcellent service, tasty beer, beautiful sitting area in the open perfect for a sunny day. I had only a few appetizers as a meal, and they were spectacular. an air of goat cheese with pesto dressing, and some squid rings in panko. many parking spaces. in the inner is small but cozy, with fireplace and TV screen (the licenses saw horse races when I visited). decoration is a bit dated, but nice as it is really aithentic. there is a stunning handmade glass and iron vinegar tree sculpture made during the pandemic, presented in the pride of the place on which bar service was great. all the ales and lagiers are of quality and tasty. they tested a music band the next day, so they keep an eye, as I am sure there is live music there, from time to time. totally recommended. follow my instagram at touring_and_roaming!
Incredibly good. delicious meal, interesting menu, cozy pub atmosphere and attentive staff. we had trout and cheese soufflé for starters and then monkfish curry and wags burger for net. we were too full of puds. everything was excellent!
I was eating with my friend last night. we were served dinner by chef george, who was so welcoming and made sure everything was perfect for us. absolutely amazing service and eating was incredible.
Arrived for lunch on a balmy March Saturday (17degrees) and enjoyed a modern take on classic pub grub. Ham egg and chips like you have never had before. Relaxed atmosphere and despite being rushed off their feet with the unexpected spring rush, the staff were delightful and accommodating.
We made a reservation for a Friday lunch on a sunny late May day. To our surprise, the place was quite empty, and we were the only customers at 1 PM. The owner's partner was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The pub is dog-friendly and features a spacious parking lot, as well as expansive grassy areas with picnic benches, some covered seating, and a secluded area with ample tables and chairs. The atmosphere of the pub is inviting, but it currently suffers from a lack of a chef. The food was decent, but the fish was only lukewarm and the peas were served in small porcelain dishes that hadn't been drained properly. I ended up tipping mine onto the plate, and the excess water spoiled the crispness of the batter. On the bright side, the chips were excellent and well-presented. As we were leaving, a rented campervan pulled in, and the large parking lot was a definite advantage. The main challenge for this potentially fantastic pub is finding a skilled chef. The owners are doing their best, and with the right staff, they could really thrive.
