Pizzeria La Stella - Mainz

The food is still great and I believe you get the best pizza and pasta in Mainz. Unfortunately, recently the focus has shifted to the delivery service. In the past, you could go to eat well and cozy, nowadays the door is standing up permanently in winter, the tables are not decorated and you feel rather undesirable as a restaurant visitor. That was different from the previous owner. Five points for food still incredibly good. Unfortunately only one to two points for the restaurant experience. Guys, change this sneaky, because you have serious competition with Pizza con Amore and I'm just about to carry my money there.

I used the pickup service. It seems to be a family-run and a little hot-sleeved small place with bistro character. Everything is somewhat neglected, but apologisable in the ongoing corona crisis. I was very fond of the juicy pizza with crispy soil, my extra requests were correctly implemented. The Tiramisu should have masparpone, tasted very fine despite the many cream! Everything reminded me of the Italian from my youth, so I might be somewhat subjective because of the nostalgia. If you can sit outside again, I'll try it out. Clear recommendation on my part!

Pizza, pasta etc. are very decent at a reasonable price. We have been going to La Stella for years and order something. We never had problems with quality. Since there is always a lot of going on, it sometimes takes a little longer.

Food was cold on arrival, but the wrong one was delivered. Instead of sharp peperoni, Peperoni was made on a vegetarian pizza. I called directly and explained the situation because I don't eat meat. The answer was: Is it so today?Next time you get one for free. I wonder if Peperoni was not a meat?

Always friendly, fast and very tasty and high quality. Our favorite in the surrounding pizzerias. Pizza and pasta are also of constant quality for months and we will soon be able to dine in the restaurant itself.
