We had a great time at the restaurant for Christmas drinks.

I stopped by this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted with a very warm welcome from the staff behind the bar. There was plenty of parking available. The beer selection was not extensive but the cask beer was well kept. There was a good mix of locals who were friendly to newcomers. I returned for one of the band nights, which turned out to be a lot of fun.

Friendly pub with good beer live music every weekend. Especially worth a visit on a Sunday night for Jam Night, and instruments provided

After travelling 20 miles to this restaurant we were left very disappointed. Service was below par for sure, despite social distancing i still feel that service can be given. we had to ask for our order to be taken for mains and again for dessert because we were just left. no one asked if we wanted more drinks. food was very well presented although the roast potatoes hard and warm and the yorkshire pudding cold. perhaps left to just sit at the pass to long?? the floor we were sat on was cold, and lacked an atmosphere. i wouldn’t come back to this restaurant and i wouldn’t recommend it which is a shame as it was recommended.
