Located on the ECR East Coast Road, Motel Mamalla is a great place for South India food. Must try Ghee Roast, Masala Dosa, Paneer Dosa, Ghee Masala Dosa and of course, Filter Coffee!

There are very few pure veg options at Mahabalipuram and if you want to try out a different place for lunch (meals) , then Motel Mamalla is the place . You are served nearly with 10 sides (including sweet, curd etc) along with Chapathi and Rice . A decent veg meal for an effective price . The service was quick as well . It was during a sunny Thursday afternoon that I had stopped for here for a quick lunch after some work at Mahabs.<br/ <br/ Its located on the left side of the road towards ECR, probably a kilometre away from the actual Mahabalipuram city.<br/ <br/ A neat and clean ambience with about 10 tables that can seat upto 40 people on the go.<br/ <br/ I was here all by myself, so kept the orders very simple. I ordered for a portion of Vegetable fried rice and Paneer manchurian along with it. Vegetable fried rice was good, with all the necessary vegetables in good portion that can be shared by two easily. The manchurian was great, soft medium sized paneer in a spicy, tangy and sweet sauce. One perfect side to the main.<br/ <br/ The cost is very much easy on the wallet.. The quality of the food is good too. Definitely a great option for pure vegetarians who visit Mahabs.
