There are far fewer tables inside and outside and so not any ambiance. Feels like way too much space for fewer tables. Fewer staff so service not what it used to be. The one waiter there was serving outdoor patio did best he could but he was the only one working there. had to ask for menus, etc. Felt like restaurant must be having bad times.
This restaurant is terrible - the food is awful and the service is very poor.
What a wonderful place for lunch. Don't miss this one!
We've eaten here on many occasions--always enjoyed the lunches and breakfasts. Thought it would be ideal of Christmas dinner but sadly was one of our worst experiences. They did not have a table ready for our reservation. They made no effort to have Christmas decoration in the main dining room; were extremely low staffed (having one waiter and a manager); took a while for the waiter to come and introduce himself; we ordered a bottle of wine, not realizing that they only go by the glass and do not offer any bottle prices; it was over 35 minutes between salad and soup courses/ only to have prime rib cooked to too little or too much; cold mash potatoes; deserts were cold where an effort to warm them up would of been a wonderful addition. We ordered coffee which we never got. I had to go to the front desk to complain--and they honored my wishes. It is a dog friendly hotel so there were dogs barking in the restaurant. That was a nice added feature to the already missing ambience. Top it all off, the manager picked up and played with dogs, and we can only assume she washed her hands before serving plates to others. It's just to be assumed. We see this place as a growing hotel in the LA Community that prides itself on selling a sense of luxury. Its Christmas festivities certainly did not represent that. I big, big mistake on owners and management. They are promoting their NEW YEARS menu. I highly recommend that you have no big expectations and be patient, if they are short of staff again--it will be a long night.
