Bidrage med feedbackThis is a cozy bakery shop in small tokio with mochi and other types of Japanese snacks. I really enjoyed her traditional mochi. I have chosen eight different flavors, including a honeycomb. each taste taste tasted so delicious and the price was also very reasonable. it's about $1.75 for a mochi. I'll be back soon.
Absolutely amazing mochi. It’s perfectly soft, melts in your mouth and delicious flavors and fillings. So much better than the mochi you find in supermarkets. They are also beautiful and make great gifts. It is a highlight of Little Tokyo.
Incredibly delicious sweets! The most authentic mochi that you can get without traveling to Japan. It was an enormous honor to support a family owned business that’s over a century old. Definitely don’t leave Little Tokyo without stopping by. Even if there’s a line they’ll zip you through lightning quick!
One of the few places I really try to visit when I am in LA. Obviously, Fugetsu-Do is an institution like no other.Do your homework and figure out what you want beforehand. Stand in line and relish the mochi carefully prepared for many years. The peanut butter and chocolate are nontraditional but real fan favorites. I feel guilty for loving them so. I came at 830am, when everything in Jtown was calm and quiet. They shelves are full and this is when the Asian moms shop, armed with a day's tasks and they bring their discerning palates. Lovely.
Delicious manju and mochi. I grew up eating all these delicious treats as a kid. My family would always bring a box to town when visiting from LA. Now that Benkyo-Do in SF is closed and Mikawaya is closed we must keep these guys going! Even if you don’t like the traditional items, their Kit Kats and chocolate mochi are delicious.
