Bidrage med feedbackI believe the food at this restaurant was delicious. The coffee was exceptional, especially by LA standards. I had been searching all morning for a modern cafe in the area to have breakfast. I was taken aback when I was told to place my order and pay upfront by the lady at the takeout window. I noticed that no one else was asked to do this. Everyone else was Caucasian. It appeared that I was being treated differently because of my race, which aligns with experiences shared in some reviews. Just be aware that you may be treated unfairly if you are not white, which is an unusual stance for a business in this area.
This restaurant is one of the top breakfast/brunch spots in Los Angeles. The food is consistently delicious, served promptly, and well worth the price. You really can't ask for more. Their pastries are also delightful. Rating: 5 out of 5 for food.
I visited this restaurant on a Sunday and was surprised to find it empty. Unfortunately, I soon discovered the reason behind the lack of customers. The prices were extremely high, the menu was vague, and the server was pretentious. A simple salad cost 22 dollars, "assorted" vegetables on rice were 36 dollars, and a pork chop was a whopping 56 dollars. The specials seemed randomly put together, with one even including peaches and whipped cream. The menu appeared to be hastily written on a paper bag with a sharpie, making it difficult to read in the dim lighting. The staff seemed disinterested and quickly seated us, only to look shocked when we decided to leave after seeing the menu and hearing about the specials. It was clear that this restaurant was aimed at ripping off tourists and the wealthy. Establishments like this, trying to drive out the local community, should relocate to Beverly Hills where they can join other pretentious spots. At these places, you can spend 80 dollars to feed two people with minimal food and then tip an additional 20 dollars for the "experience." The automatic gratuity on the bill further highlighted that this restaurant did not belong in the great neighborhood of Los Feliz.
I have sincerely never had a better meal in Los Angeles. The food was absolutely stunning and seasoned to perfection. Music is almost unbearably loud, but it goes with the vibe. Candles, low lights, fantastic menu, impeccable service... I can not recommend this place enough! GO! Even on a busy Friday at 8:30 p.m., we were seated within 10 minutes. I'm sad I live 60 miles from this place. I'd be here weekly of I were in town.Vegetarian options: They have an amazing veg filled salad and an entire beef centered dinner dish. For the pescatarians out there, they have at least a couple fish options.Dietary restrictions: My daughter is allergic to some nuts and things like kale. The server knew exactly what was in each dish and didn't have to go check with the chefs like so many others have had to do.
Although the food at All Time is excellent, please be aware that they charge a 20% auto-gratuity--at the take-out window!! As if that isn't enough of an egregious cash grab, they don't go out of their way to publicize that fact, so I ended up tipping 35% on my breakfast order. I was only made aware of their sleazy little trick by a local, when I commented about the exorbitant cost of my order. All in all, this is a very underhanded trick, about which they need to be much more honest and transparent. During my second visit, I asked the counterperson if they charged an auto-gratuity, and she reluctantly answered “yes”. When I asked where that was made apparent to customers, she murmured that it should be on the electronic bill...”somewhere”. IF it is there, it must be in such a small type-size that most people, like myself, wouldn't notice it during the 5 seconds or so it takes to tap your credit card. “All Time”, alright!! “All Time Ripoff!!”
