Avenue Restaurant - London

Despite the lovely decor and excellent staff at this restaurant, the experience was marred by the atrocious, cramped, scruffy, and dated bathrooms. The facilities were reminiscent of an old school and nearly impossible to navigate, especially for those with coats or bags. The Xmas menu was average, with overcooked turkey and a lack of any potatoes. It was disappointing to see such a discrepancy between the beautiful decor and neglected cloakrooms.

For my starter, I had liver mousse with crackers. The texture of the mousse was softer than I expected, similar to hummus, but it worked well with the crackers. We all ordered the venison as our main course, which was very delicious. To finish off, we had Christmas Pudding with a toffee sauce and ice cream, which was yummy. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and the time between courses was just right. Overall, it was a very pleasant and enjoyable evening.

A group of 10 friends and I met for lunch at Avenue and had a great time. Some of us ordered bottomless bubbles and the staff made sure our glasses were always full. The food was tasty, although the portion sizes were a bit on the smaller side. The attentive staff more than made up for it. We never felt rushed and ended up staying until early evening chatting. I would definitely recommend Avenue and will be sure to visit again next time I'm in London.

Nice space and the main course bream was excellent. Starter pumpkin soup was very average and the wait between courses was about 25 minutes when the restaurant was 1/3 full and we were clearly on a business lunch. Might have been an unlucky day but I can only review what I experienced

My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous evening here. We had the 3 course meal with wine pairings using our Virgin Experience voucher. From the minute we walked in the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. Service was faultless. The food was fantastic as were the wines served with them. We would thoroughly recommend a visit and will definitely be returning.
