The Shack Bbq Catering - Lockport

I ordered a smoked turkey from The Shack for Thanksgiving simply due to the fact that I have never had a bad experience with The Shack. (FYI, their Sunday Family Packs are amazing! We picked up the turkey cold on Wednesday as they prepared it as a heat and serve. We tried it Wednesday, just to try a little before Thanksgiving, and the flavor was so pronounced even cold! The turkey was delicious in fact I don't even think that delicious is the right word. The turkey was a hit with everyone. We bagged up the little we had remaining and put it in the freezer. We took it out a week later and made white turkey chili (instead of chicken and the turkey still was extremely flavorful! I highly recommend The Shack to anyone looking for some great BBQ/Catering! I would love to give them more than 5 stars if I had the opportunity!

We got the Sunday special with smoked meatloaf, southern greenbeans, mashed potatoes and corn bread. It was PHENOMENAL!

Did they move? Their building is for rent.Out of business??Pros: food was tasty, I had 1/2 slab ribs, baked potatoe soup, and an extra side of baked beans.Ole lady had, 1/2 chicken and a baked potato. It's close to home.Price is decent.Cons: lady on phone didn't know what pieces were in the 1/2 chicken. No biggie.Food was cold! I'm writing this at 6:30 P.M. after i just ate, they close at 9:00 P.M.No excuse for cold food.Everything. Soup was luke warm.Baked potatoe was cold, chicken, cold.Ribs actually felt cold to the touch.Now my review is based on temperature of the food. No excuse tho. I live 2 minutes away.We will try them again.We Tried 2 more times, this place is struggling. 2nd time we just got Ribs and they were great.3rd Time tonight, Ole lady got a pulled pork platter. It was meat chunks in a box, cold again, dry. Chunks, not pulled pork.They told her they need 24 hour notice to shred the pork.Some pieces were over smoked, like on a gas grill with dry wood.Sorry Shack, I'm done with ya.Adios

I went here because my brother mentioned to me that “the shack” has decent wings. So I decided to go for my birthday lunch and wow. I got 10 bbq wings and they were so good and massive. One may say the price for 10 is a little pricy but the wings won’t let you be unsettled and hungry. I will come here more often

Great pulled pork and tasty brisket sandwiches. The fries were perfect and the sauce was sweet and smokey. The downtown Lickport area has alot to offer, recommended a visit for sure!
