Antonio's Piccolo - Livonia

A group of 6 of us met for dinner at 5 Saturday night. Of course there was a wait as we didn't have a reservation. Fortunately, three of us were able to sit at the bar, have a few drinks and start the meal early as we knew we had a wait ahead of us. The bartender was fantastic, pouring drinks and delivering app orders like the pro she is. We had bruschetta which was as tasty as ever, then 4 of the others split an order of beef tips they raved about, saying they'll get that again. We were seated, with unnecessary apologies from the hosts, a little over an hour later at a spacious 6 top. Our waitress was excellent, with attentive and speedy service. I got the Linguine Delmar, which was loaded with shrimp, scallops and whitefish in a tomato sauce. As I had already eaten several pieces of the Excellent bread before the meal and another with, I was only able to finish about a quarter of the meal, bringing the rest home for another two meals this week. I highly recommend it. My only complaint, albeit slight, is that there was too much house dressing on the salad for me to finish it. I should have asked for it on the side but I'm getting used to eating out again and didn't think of it. The greens, tomato and cucumber were very good, I was just overwhelmed by the dressing. A very small complaint for such a wonderful meal. Service and atmosphere were both great, allowing us to talk freely around the table and catch up with the two we don't see regularly. It was a wonderful night thanks to amazing food and superior service.

Wow just wow. I've been to almost all the Antonio's restaurants in the Detroit area. Just like the others this one knocks it out the park. Staff: start to finish nothing but smiles, light appropriate table humor, and very attentive to our needs with drinks, food, and questions. Food: I grew up with an Italian mother that would make everything from scratch. The food reminds me of mom. Made with that devotion and rustic family feel. Mom would be proud that I cleaned my plate. No really I wiped up the last bit of sauce with the HOMEMADE BREAD! Dessert: Homade Gelato that tasted unlike any you can buy at the store. Just delicious no other way to describe. Overall great experience and will for sure be back. Thank you for a great dinner!

Great place to eat, friendly people, and food was awesome. Lots of food and drink options as well as dessert. Outstanding service! Best Italian food i have ever had. Definitely coming back here again.

We often sat here. Tonight we came to dinner and had a family call after we had set ourselves. They quickly made our food go and were very understanding! Staff and service is top notch!

The following paragraph was the first review. I reduced the stars to 3 because of the owner's response. 1. Review edited: I really want an explanation why we couldn't get a pizza box. Did you happen to see the Styrofoam container with the pizza in it? The pizza war is ruined. How can you do it right? 1. Review.... Food and service were excellent. Ordnete pastas and pizza. The reason I only gave a 4-star rating was because they couldn't provide us with a pizza box. Order a large pizza and eat only 4 slices. The server said they can't issue pizza boxes because management said it was expensive to spend. Really? Below are the results of the pizza placed in a polystyrene container. The next day really? Roman village location and ford street location had no problem going to a pizza box. I don't want to go to get back here. Should? v to ford road location.
