Sul bancone piatti da portata accanto a quelli ritirati dai tavoli, vassoi con tranci di bachalau da cuocere che volteggiano in mezzo agli avventori in attesa del posto a sedere . Probabilmente locale sconosciuto ai Nas portoghesi .Se non ci lascia impressionare da questa scenografia , i piatti sono ricchi e gustosi : 2 tomini di formaggio nell’attesa )Sardine alla brace , Bachalau a la minota , omelette , 2 birre e 2 caffè , 49€ .Più che onesto
We had a late lunch here and the grilled dourada and grilled sardines were spectacular. The vinho verde de Alvarinho (green wine) was great. The service is very cumbersome as they didn’t bring our plates together and almost cooked the wrong dish, so be patient if you stop in. The quality of the food makes up for the lack of organization as far as service goes. Prices here are very reasonable and easy on the wallet and they accept credit cards which some other restaurants in the area didn’t.
We stayed here on a laune during a holiday when so many places were either closed or cloged with tourist. so happy we came in. the restaurant was filled with locals who seemed to know each other. the wed was very gracious with us....The boom and tear was exactly what I wanted, even though the fries were fat and soggy. my man had the grilled sardines, he said they were perfection with a nice scallop. all washed with cold beer and vinho verde. finished with espresso, yams. a fantastic lunch in the middle of the alfama.
We stumbled upon this place on our first night in Lisbon as it's pretty close to Santa Apolonia station. Canteen style decor and a simple menu hide the fact that food is delicious, with hi-lights being their freshly cooked fish, and spit roasted butterflied chicken....They were very good in recommending only half a chicken for our year old son as the portions are huge. My husband had suckling pig, and Bass another night, both served with a generous salad, rice and chips. My other son enjoyed a huge golden omelette and salad. Beer is cheap and comes in big glasses or enjoy their wine. I recommend you ask for the sardine paste to go with the bread as a starter. We never managed desert. The menu is very affordable (rare in the Alfama) costing about for our family of four, with drinks, just one course. The two gentlemen that serve are great, fast and efficient. One great plus for us is they open early, so the boys didn't have to wait too long for their food.

Sulle pietanze da tavola, accanto a quelle ritirate dai tavoli, vassoi con bacini da cuocere che si trasformano in mezzo all'avventuroso in attesa della seduta. Probabilmente locale sconosciuto al portoghese Nass.
