Short staffing is not an excuse to cut corners and deliver subpar quality. It is important to be professional and understanding, even in times of high demand. I suggest reminding dine-in customers and those getting delivery that the wait time may be longer than usual due to the staffing issue and thanking them for their patience. Improving efficiency should not come at the expense of customer satisfaction.
Thank God Taco Bell is finally being built in Leadville because this being one of the only name brand places to eat from was absolute torture as the employees seem to not take their job so serious. I have been vented on by staff as well as lied to, both of which I cannot stand. If they actually did their job it wouldn't be that bad. But this is not about make believe,
I ordered a pizza, picked it up, got home and opened the box. It was a totally wrong pizza plus it was missing a piece out of it . They ate out of it and then gave it to me as my order. I tried for over an hour to call them to request a refund and no one would answer the phone . I called the Pizza Hut order line 4 times, they would say they were calling the local location and then hang up on me.
I am giving the restaurant three stars for their honesty during my phone call. I had called ahead to plan a group dinner for my 14 kids. It's polite to call ahead for large groups. However, they informed me that they did not have tables available for us to dine in and did not want us standing around. When I inquired about a banquet room, they said they did not have one. Coming from Kansas and having worked for Pizza Hut, I was surprised by the conversation. Ultimately, we decided not to stop there. Although I was disappointed, everything turned out fine. There are plenty of other places where we can eat, just not there. Whenever I visit Kansas to see family, I am looking forward to going to places where the pizza is top-notch.
