Bidrage med feedbackI come here a lot. Always bring my friends and family since they offer both vegan and non-vegan dishes. Everyone loves their food. Most of the time they prefer the vegan options. I have tried many of their items and they never disappoint. Always very delicious and I love the many options they offer on their vegan menu. Two thumbs up!
Looking for vegan Mexican cuisine? Check out Pancho's Kitchen. They have a full vegan menu. Walking in here for the first time I noticed the lovely decor, cute paper flowers hanging from the ceiling, the large comfy booths and the word vegan listed on the wall with all the other things they offer. Our waitress was an effecient, sweet young woman. We ordered quite a bit of food since there was 5 of us, 4 of us vegan. There was a little mix up with our drinks but it was resolved quickly. They offer so much for vegans including enchiladas, burritos and other traditional Mexican cuisine. They also have a taco Tuesday that you can get veganized as well. The food came out quickly as well. I ordered the loaded french fries with beer battered avocado. Omg it was so good! The prices are a bit higher here but they give you good portions and awesome food.
I drove over here for some potato tacos and nachos. I received 3 potato tacos and they were crispy and delicioso. I requested no pico de gallo since I don't like tomatoes, however, I got mucho de gallo instead. It's ok; I brushed it aside, although I lost a lot of my salsa. The beans and rice were ok, but I could've used a tad bit more sabor (flavor) in both. The nachos were ok. The portion was huge and I love that it was piled high with veggies. I asked for both spicy red salsa and the green salsa. I only received a small amount of red salsa; enough for the potato tacos only. My nachos would've been a lot better to me with more spicy salsa. They did not have any vegan desserts (I asked). Inside is small, but comfy, like abuelita's cocina. The lady at the counter was very pleasant. Prices are reasonable. Located in a strip mall, so there was plenty of parking. I'd go back for more potato tacos and to try other menu items.
I stumbled upon this place while looking for a bite to eat near my daughters swim practice. I didn't really have any expectations going into this. My first impression when I walked in was that it was pretty much a hole in the wall type of Mexican food place. That is not necessarily a bad thing as some of the better Mexican food that I've had has come from the sketchiest of places. The menu is a bit different than your typical meat and veg options type of Mexican reataurant. They tend to use more vegetables as meat substitutes vs. faux meats. I ordered the zucchini and poblano tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were large and tasty. The rice and beans were mediocre. They offer different frescas and can and bottled sodas. The portion of chips and salsa you get is extremely small. My main criticism would be that the pricing of the meat items is considerably less than the Vegan menu. I'm quite sure that zucchini and poblano peppers costs less at the store than carne asada. It seems like restaurants price gouge when it comes to vegan items which to me is a bit disappointing.
I bought the vegan tamales/rice and beans combo at the Farmer's Market at Tivoli...delicious! Very tasty!!! The employees were super nice and very accommodating.
