Bidrage med feedbackWe indulged in a shrimp cocktail and a steak dish called "a la Uruguaya" which was filled with jam, cheese, a hard-boiled egg, garlic, breaded, and fried, accompanied by a well-paired wine. For dessert, we enjoyed a deliciously sweet coffee. The price for all this culinary delight was around 8 euros per person.
Following the advice of the travel guides about Cuba, while stopping in Las Tunas on the way to Santiago, we went to try the lean but tasty menu of this restaurant. A bit hidden among the ubiquitous porches in all the sunny cities of the Island, is this locally-owned with air conditioning, so the door remains closed and you have to knock), and a very special decoration. As we can see, the furniture is quite normal, but the walls are a true showcase of thoughts, images, and quotes. Most of them are anonymous, but there are also quotes from writers, artists, and singers who leave their mark on the walls when passing through the restaurant. We enjoyed them while waiting for the food. This consisted of a shrimp cocktail, very good, and the steak that curiously goes by the name Uruguayan, stuffed with ham, cheese, hard-boiled egg, and garlic, breaded and fried, all accompanied by a well-chilled Cristal beer. For dessert, a very good and sweet coffee. The price is around 8 euros per person.
