Bidrage med feedbackVery nice and calm place with stunning views. Pool service could be enhanced, but great areas alongside pilgrim or hiking pathways close to beautiful villages with proper dining options like San Miniato. Overall would recommend. Grazie per tutto!
The hotel and grounds were beautiful!!! The pool, flowers and views were incredible and felt like paradise! Service was excellent
Perhaps one of the loveliest places I've stayed. Lovely surrounds, soothing ambience. Luxurious and more importantly kind!
Charming little boutique hotel close to San Minato! The grounds of the hotel are so beautifully manicured and they take great care of their rose garden and pool. Our stay was for 5 days and we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was always changing. We used the hotel as our hub and did day trips from there to local cities and towns. I highly recommend asking Martina for some tips and recommendations, she was a gracious host and arranged many dinner reservations, truffle hunting, vineyard wine dinner and wine tour. What a treat to have someone help with recommendations!! We opted for a more basic room, which was very reasonable and quite large considering! I thought their cleaning staff did an exceptional job cleaning up every day and making it fresh for our return. I know sometimes hotels don’t clean sheets in between days but it was nice to have our sheets cleaned with that little bit of luxury of staying away from home. The also have a fabulous pool which we used a few times on hot days. Amazing, and very relaxing! Please note that the drinks at the pool are quite expensive so make sure to check the menu before ordering! I think we accidentally ordered a 18 euro G T without know how expensive they were! We did do a few spa treatments while on our stay, I would say these were mediocre, but it was very nice that they have this facility.
Like no other. I have recently returned from Tuscany, and it is only now I am able to find the words to describe how special this hotel is. Firstly, don’t think of it as a hotel, as you will feel like you are staying in a home (fully staffed of course, and with a pool) … I have been lucky enough to have stayed in many 5 star hotels in countries across the world. None, however, compare to the experience that is to be found staying in Relais Sassa Al Sole. It is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the peace that surrounds this special place. The staff are incredibly warm, helpful, but without being overbearing. It was almost as if they were in the background, but there to assist should you require anything. Again, adding to the fact you felt like you were staying at a luxurious home rather than hotel. The layout is rather lovely. Rooms are quite private, and I think it was only once that I heard any other guest from where my room was located. The beautiful pool is a highlight, but the fabulous sprawling garden has to be mentioned, take a walk in the evening and find one of their cosy setups, to sit and take in the spectacular Tuscan sunsets. There is also a jacuzzi nestled away in the garden. Something that I was surprised by was the dining area set up on a raised deck/balcony, as I hadn’t seen photos online- it provided wonderful views of the landscape, and provided the most picturesque backdrop to your meals. (The pesto pasta was a highlight and deserves a special mention) Breakfast I found to be a very good offering, especially considering that Italians do a different take on breakfast than a lot of other countries. An espresso and pastry would do most people there. The room itself felt spacious, thanks to a high ceiling, and multiple windows, letting plenty of light in. The decor was lovely. Traditional with a modern interpretation. The only things to note for the hotel, they are not criticisms as such- it would be a nice idea to provide a guests with bottle of water in the room per day. Especially in such heat in Summertime. There is one provided when you check in. We would still have ended up buying plenty of supplementary water bottles from the bar, but even 1 bottle in the room per day would be a nice touch. The internet for some reason constantly needed to be reconnected and input the details to log again in every 15 minutes or so, which we couldn’t understand, but it wasn’t the end of the world, part of me felt it was a sign to be offline, and to soak up every minute of possible relaxation. These are very minor things, and are just notes. Truly, stating at the Relais Sassa Al Sole is an experience, if you get the opportunity to do so, simply do not hesitate, you will not regret it.
