Bidrage med feedbackOur waitress was lovely! All the staff were very kind. The food was amazing and I absolutely loved how many options there were for entrees and apps. We had the brie and garlic dip with a baguette (I am terrible with names so I forget what it is called)but it was delicious! Our meals were fabulous and their birthday tradition is one of my favourite things ever! Super cool andvery laid back but with amazing service. The reason I selected 4 stars and not 5 is because they have no AC. It was 30 degreesoutside and we chose inside for that reason. Which made no difference anyway. We were quite sweaty after our meal however Iwould still eat there again. Please try to get that AC up folks? you would be a true 5 star if the atmosphere matched theamazing service, food, and vibe!
Lovely lunch on the patio today. I had a really tasty beet and goat cheese salad. Presentation and flavour were excellent. I followed it with raspberry yogurt cheesecake. Lots of raspberries! Our server was very friendly and efficient. Lookingforward to the next visit.
My spouse and I were looking for a decent spot to eat dinner and I was super excited to hear that Sweet Onion Bistro offered Greek food because I am a big fan and there are no real Greek restaurants in the area. This was my first time visiting either ofthe Sweet Onion locations and I was extremely disappointed in my experience. The service was passable, though we didn 't get anyrefills on our water and the restaurant seemed slightly understaffed. I was quite annoyed when one of the staff came out andstarted sorting cutlery two tables away from us so our dinner conversation was punctuated with the clatter of utensils inplastic bins. The real letdown was the food. I was disappointed that there were so few actual Greek items on the menu, but Ithought I would give the gyro a try. It was like $20 so expectations were high, and I felt totally deflated when what arrivedfrom the kitchen was clearly frozen/pre-packaged gyro meat. It was certainly not homemade, and was by far the blandest, crappiest gyro I have had in my life. It came with like 12 french fries (which would honestly have been funny if I wasn 't paying$20 for this), and a tiny, bland Greek salad that was mostly lettuce. The only good spot was my spouse 's meal who got thebeef roast dinner with a big piece of meat and nice side dishes that I enjoyed when I had a few sample bites. Unfortunately forSweet Onion Bistro, I 'm the one who writes the reviews and I personally felt completely ripped off by my dinner. We will not beback, which is a shame because the location is great. Please do your restaurant a favour and send whoever makes your menu/cooksyour food down to the summer Greek festival so they can see what this food is supposed to taste like.
Saw a review that said their fish and chips were the best they ever tasted. My friend also vouched for how great it was so he and I checked it out. I concur, it is the best fish (substituted small Caesar salad for fries) and Caesar salad I ever tasted. Our waitress was also pleasant and courteous. Always delightful staff with gourmet cuisine at affordable prices. That's what youcall fine dining !
Had a wonderful lunch here. Our server was nice, seating was comfortable, and the food was fresh, plentiful, tasty, and reasonably priced. Looking forward to returning.
