Old Port Lobster Shack

The lobster roll at this restaurant is fantastic, with an easy amount of mayo unlike other places I have tried. The portion of lobster is quite generous. The only downside was that despite ordering take-out 30 minutes in advance, we still had to wait in line with other customers in the store for 15 minutes to pick up our order. I don't blame the staff as it appeared to be just one person handling everything.

The steamed lobster is consistently fresh, and our favorite dishes include the easily broken fried clams and oysters. We also highly recommend the creamy clam chowder.

I am accustomed to smoking my own meat, so I am familiar with the amount of fat that comes on a whole brisket, especially when purchasing it from Costco. However, most chefs typically allow the fat to melt away, leaving behind the true meat flavor, before trimming off excess fat to serve. The excessive amount of fat served on the Mac and Cheese with Brisket dish was disappointing. Come on, man!

So amazing... all we ordered was well prepared and top notch. The fish and chips were in no case fat and the fish used (shock, I think was beyond fresh and tasty. We ordered a piece of items - clam chowder (excellent, fish and chips (see above note : , Shrimp Louie (so fresh ordered a 1/2 order, and a BBQ tri-tip type sandwich with Mac / cheese, bbq sauces (delish and very tasteful). For two people who order ALL this food and drinks came over $70.00. Do not disappoint and ensure a great family/date dinner!

Decent lobster roll. Fish 'n ' chips are okay as well, the batter is good but the fish could use a light brine to season. Fries are excellent though.
