I’ve been to most of the Roscoe Chicken and Waffle Locations, but let’s focus on the Inglewood one. Convenience: This location is just minutes from the Airport. If you’re headed to LAX or just arriving , this is a convenient location to grab a meal. Most of the rental car companies are minutes away making It an easy stop. Safety: This isn’t the safest area, but as long as you move accordingly , you should be fine. LA runs on a strong set of street politics. Respect the community and the people in It , don’t linger around and don’t draw too much attention to yourself. You’re there to eat so do just that. Parking: Parking is only on one side of the restaurant. If you’re seated near the front entrance , you will not be able to see your car. Seating: Roscoes is a walk in restaurant that can typically accommodate your sitting regardless of party size. They offer table seating and booth seating as well. Food: Roscoe’s is known for their Chicken and Waffles. In my opinion , that’s all they should serve. The waffles are soft , thin and delectable and the chicken is savory as well. I’ve ordered some sides, such as eggs and grits…. I should’ve known better. The hot sauce isn’t super spicy , but has a kick to It. Cleanliness: Roscoe’s has two bathrooms. There’s also a sink located outside the bathroom if you just want to wash your hands without using the bathroom. As much as I love Roscoe’s , I still put my utensils in a cup of hot water before using them. The kitchen entrance isn’t too far from the seating area. Service: The service is usually good. The only time you’re really interacting with anyone is when you’re seated , ordering , or asking for the bill. Checkout: One thing I like about Roscoe’s is that once they bring the bill to your table , you then walk up to the register to pay before you leave. There’s no waiter or waitress constantly walking by to see if you’re ready to pay yet or someone with a machine checking you out on a handheld device. Overall, this is usually my go to when I land in LA or when I’m headed back home. The food is quite filling. It’s a casual spot that allows you to grab a quick meal.
