J. W. Arnold's Fine Texas Barbecue La Grange, Texas Bbq

Was in Cuero for work and needed lunch. Saw the positive reviews and wanted to give J W a shot. I did the drive thru but they do have tables for you to sit on the inside. The drive thru was quick and customer service was friendly. I ordered a two meat plate with a drink. I had ribs (2) that were good size and about 1/4 pound of brisket. I also received potato salad and pinto beans for the sides, sweet tea to drink. I took it to the hospital, pulled out my car tray and chowed down. The sides were great. Beans had sausage and tasted delicious. The potato SAKD was mustard based without onions so I enjoyed it as well. The ribs were tender but salty and the brisket was tender but lacked flavor. I can't say I would try it again, but if I did I would skip the ribs and maybe get another meat.

Brisket is fantastic! I consider myself a BBQ connoisseur, and this was some of the best I have ever eaten! Staff very friendly and courteous, and prices extremely reasonable!

Perfect stop for lunch if you're passing through We ordered the chicken plate with coleslaw and potato salad everything was prepared to perfection. Not a big coleslaw eater, but it was so incredibly fresh it nearly stole the show. Great service, delicious food, reasonably priced and generous portions. A definite must try!

BEST BBQ IN TOWN! If I could rate it 10 stars, I would. Everything was extremely flavorful and don't get me started on the coleslaw it was so fresh! Customer service was amazing. When you walk in, it feels like home and you're treated like family. Thank you Joe and Rueben! Can't wait to come back.

Really good brisket and ribs! You can taste the smoke down to the bone. Welcome addition to area food scene!
