Manmaru No Tsuki - Kyoto

We tried three okonomiyaki places and that was the best. I'm biased because we had a front seat of the grill so we could see how all the delicacies are made... Haha. Oishii! You have electronic menus with an option for English so make the order easy. I think we have the Negiyaki and ordered the grilled cabbage that could be the best cabbage I had in my life...lol. We have there at 9:30 a.m., so it was not so busy, but the place is quite small, so could wait a while at peak times.

Delicious! We went at 6:00 and they pressed us in front of 7:00 (full restaurant was reserved) reservations. The chefs/owners and waitress were very nice! They had an English menu. The restaurant is very charming and cozy! It's only possible to smoke inside. We had the Suji-Senne (Pork Achilles) appetizer so good and two other dishes along with the garlic cheese toast.

Exquisites food prepared before the nose. All we tried was just great. The pancakes are excellent, but try some vegetable sides. The staff is friendly and English menus are available. Only cost us about 35€ for 2, which is a bargain for this kind of food.

Awesome place. Watching the incredibly skilled chef cook the meals right in front of you at the bar was a fantastic experience. Not only that but the food was outstanding too, the Hiroshima Okonomiyaki was delicious and this followed by the mouth watering Japanese version of French Toast with fruit and ice cream made my night!
