Bidrage med feedbackDrawn in by the smell of hot pastry, I left Top Pies with a chilli cheese pie, a cherry apple pie and a cream puff. The lady serving was really lovely, and all the pies and cakes looked delicious. It was really difficult to choose, but I was happy with my choices. <br/ <br/ The pie was hot with a sweet chilli flavour. The pastry was light and flaky, and I would return to Top Pies for the savoury pies alone. Add in the sweet treats and it's a double whammy of goodness. The sweet cherry pie was amazing with a buttery shortcrust pastry and tangy cherry filling. The cream puff was the lightest sponge and the cream filling was just right. Top Pies is a great place for a quick lunch, with great service and tasty food.
Sausage roll gets a 50/10 it was amazing, big, thick, fresh, soft buttery pastry cooked to perfection and great flavours. Pie was ok but could be better... need to have a mince and cheese option
The Ultimate Pie Shop. I work nearby and regularly pop in at lunchtime to get something, never ever been disappointed. Their beef pies are incredible, awesome selection of pies, sandwiches, rolls etc etc and all at reasonable prices. Always greeted with a smile from very friendly staff. Highly Recommended :
Being a local and routinely rotating culinary choices in the area as time passes by, I have frequented Top Pies a number of times. As I am relatively foreign to the latest trends, using this application is new to me and some of these reviews really don't do this establishment justice so here is my 2 cents.<br/ <br/ Service is always friendly and with a smile. I feel that one of the ladies is in some way an owner as she goes the extra mile and gives instructions to the others as necessary. Besides who serves you I find the place to be a warm, ambient place with decorations to break the monotony of your typical take-away outlet. <br/ <br/ My staple favourite, the steak and mushroom pie. Pastry is always consistent and crisp, clearly made in house. Best to be earlier in the day though for freshness sake. The contents comprises of gravy, mushroom and chunky steak. Simply delicious every time. I'm not one to taint with sugar laden tomato sauce so the raw real deal I can tell you with confidence is a quality product. <br/ <br/ Don't get me wrong, this is not 5 star dining so don't go there expecting a Michelin star meal. So far as a humble local cafe cross take-away store goes, it's spectacular.
Went there over the weekend morning. I had Thai curry with chicken pie. It was real curry in there! Spicy but yummy. Will go back to try another different pie. Coffee was good. Picture tells all!!lol
