Bidrage med feedbackThe bread was absolutely amazing! I love the combination of the seeds on top and it was a beautiful texture. I also had the pistachio scroll which I ate before I remembered to take a photo because it looked do good! It was quite unique. I didn't personally enjoy the flavour but the pastry was beautifully flaky and the ingredients were very interesting.
Some of the best bread in Melbourne. Traditional crusty loaves with loads of flavour. Peacan and date buns are unbelievable as well as the country loaf. Go as early as possible.
Great little bakery! Would recommend going before 10:30am, as there is a line and they usually sell out. The stand out was the chocolate croissant (pain au chocolat) !
Nice bakery. We were lucky to just be ahead of the queue as we went early enough. As it was our first visit though, we didn't know what was on offer so felt a little pressured to make a decision quickly. The country loaf, bagels and pastries were all delicious. The rye and caraway loaf was tasty but needed just a touch more caraway.
The country roll $1) is so delicious I munched on it plain. It's flavoursome and sour, chewy with a gentle crunch on the outside, pillowy on the inside. <br/ <br/ The ficlette $2) is even more sour and has a densely chewy crust that separates from the pillowy inside. <br/ <br/ Staff are friendly and helpful too. They had already sold out of all plain ficlettes by 11am on a Wednesday. Note the $10 Eftpos minimum!
