Bidrage med feedbackNice kopitiam with nostalgic ambiance. Sambal bun is worth trying. Curry puffs tasted ok. Coffee was nice. Came for the famous roti kawen to be dipped into soft runny half boiled eggs. However left a bit disappointed with 3/4 boiled eggs that came almost 20mins after the roti arrived at our table. The waiter was not attentive despite quite a number of empty tables at the side-back area. Need to improve the service to keep the customers happy.
It was our first time in Kluang, a local friend took us there. It took us about 10mins queue to get a table. The food was delicious but a bit salty. What we don't see in Singapore is the ikan bilis dough puffs, texture is similar to those Indian rojak style fried dough puffs. Really like the dry Law Xu Fen (it's white rice noodle shaped like rats tail in dark soy sauce, forgot to take photo) and hubby tried the Laksa Johor, tastes more like a curry noodle, different from the laksa in SG but still yummy.
Like the wide food menu. Tasty and well.prepared too. Service is prompt and helpful. Place could be more spruced up and cleaner. Some chairs with backrest would be appreciated by seniors instead of all stool only. I wonder why the owner don't expand the eating area since the crowd is always there. I wish there were fewer houseflies and more emphasis on food hygiene. I wish the toilets are upgraded so that they are brighter and cleaner. And rid of urine smell.
Love the original kluang coffee and the toast bread with kaya and butter. The nasi lemak is simple and small portion. There are other variety of food and beverages to choose. You can also get coffee powder, 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 sachets.
The queue was really long on a public holiday morning but it was moving quite fast. Food was okay, like the roti bakar. However, the coffee and laksa johor tasted abit bland to me.
