Red House West - Kingston

We went here twice within 3 days and really enjoyed the service! the buttermilk chicken bites were delicious, and the mushroom alfredo was fantastic! good selection of the beer on the hahn also. the only reason why this is not 5 stars that both paint. we were going to order a appetizer, and both of them came the appetizer within 2 minutes of meals. this means that you eat cold when they work on the final position of the appetizer, or the appetizer goes to the drop. fix this problem, and that would be a knockout!

Recommended by our inn keeper because it was close. here's a warehouse. it was quite loud at dinner with nothing to make the sound of a muffle. more interesting background is it of 3 sisters who have an agreement with 3 mckinnon brothers in bath. to supply craft beer. we enjoyed pints of 8 man dark) and broth. bright) the beer-battered-chid in 2 sizes was ok the in house weic acid sauce was very good. service was very fast and efficient thanks to cats. many free parking spaces on site.

Our server were very attentive and friendly, but let us honestly, that is not enough to eat for bad. we are in the restaurant to eat. not sure how they can screw fish tacos, but they did. what we were served were broken briquettes. with hardly one fish in every crowded nugget. some nuggets so small that there is no fish to find. on a more positive note the pommes were good. I'd give him a pass. there are so many other good pubs/restaurants to spend their time and hard earned money.

This is our 3rd time here. 2 years ago we had a charcuterie and it was really good. next time, a year later, we have made charcuterie that was not even close to being as good as the previous time, and, we tried., the fish and chips and it was really dry and understated. we went again tonight to give them a last attempt and had the strip steak on a Pita thing (was what I have ever ordered from a restaurant). a few small tasteless stripes of fat bark served on a few soggy pita chips with fries, which obviously already cooked once and then cooked again and turned into little crispy dried strips of the most terrible taste I have ever tasted. . my wife had a mediocre burger and salate that she had to give me the half because I was starved after my meal was done in 4 bites. while the atmosphere is ok and the service is pleasant, there are much better places in kingstons west end than this place that seems to have a owner who is either not interested or, do not know that their quality will recharge. I don't know what's worse.

When you are not able to cut through your steak with the Steak Knife they have given you it's hard to justify spending $28.00 for a slab of meat and a pile of fries.
