Bidrage med feedbackNice hotel for the price. Friendly staff and close to everything. Lots of parking , and very quite. We will come back.
The food was good. Reasonable prices, especially for the grandkids. Staff were very friendly Would recommend.
Picked up dinner to take back to our room. Barely average food - pizza was more dough than toppings by a long shot. Bruchetta was quite tasty, but looked more like the pizza should have - not your typical Bruchetta. Forgot a few things that they delivered to our room (after we finished our meal...). Ordered double order of calamari - either the orders were REALLY small or they forgot one (called them and they said they put both orders in one container - so guess the order was REALLY small...) - and they forgot the sauces...Overall, spend over $100 - definitely not worth it!
If you cannot find any other place in town with a reasonable pricing, then Ambassador Hotel is a decent option. You are still looking at around $150 a night for a king room. Be aware, the pillows are far too high for your natural neck positioning and thick so take your own. We were 13 people staying here and most of us could not sleep well at night because of the pillow. The hotel is also close to the rail station so throughout the night, we could hear the train passing. The hotel staff were timely in confirming our reservation but the service was super slow for check in. They also did not mention that they hold $100 deposit for the room and when asked, they were annoyed to pin point this out. The hotel is old and feels dingy. None of the rooms we had, from second to 6th floor, had any new renovation. Bath tubs definitely showed their age. Lighting too dim and hallways too grey. I am not sure I would like to stay here once more, this hotel needs a whole lot of renovation. Oh and the wifi was too slow.
Did not stay in the rooms, but did visit the hotel for a dance competition. The place needs some new carpets and coat of paint.
