Sabor Y Sol Mexican Rest - Kansas City

This place has totally delicious shrimp and fish street tacos. They bring a basket of chips and a couple of salsas. I was a little disappointed with the chips, I have made much better at home. The salsas were good. The beans were delicious but the rice was bland and overcooked. They do have some drink specials. We went early afternoon on a weekday and we were the only customers there. It's not cheap though, 6 street tacos and 1 order of beans and rice was over $30. But, those shrimp tacos are worth the price.

The food was delicious and came to us in a timely manner. We were a large group and the service was excellent.

Taqueria Mexico was totally busy no room so I went down to this place. My first clue was the parking lot had three cars in it during a Friday dinner rush. Thought I'd go in give it a try never been there before I looked around and there was only four people at one table The rest of the wait staff were sitting down rapping silverware in the middle of a dinner rush on a Friday That was red flag number two. Sat down got me a soda she brought me chips and then I ordered the ribeye and when it came I was basically served the soul of the boot. I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife I had the sample it it was just horrible it was like chewing the leather so I went up because no one was around and I told her about my experience. I asked for the manager or the owner but obviously he was not on site just a girl with the barely speak English. and I didn't ask for a refund not to pay anything I just held out my credit card and I said I'm never coming back here this is all the money you're ever going to get from me suspend it wisely because I can tell you have no customers and now I know why. food is unedible she took my card and ran it and charged me $20 for a half a soda. Take my advice Go somewhere else hell go next door and get you some barbecue at Rosedale barbecue you'll have a better meal that's what I did. I give it no stars but I don't have to do anything this place will shut down eventually because if you compare it to the taqueria Mexico down the street and they'll be out of business in 6 months. God works in strange and mysterious ways. Uh-oh I go to make my post and it's forcing me to give it one star well you just forget about that one star when reading this review there are no stars there's a big thumbs down.

Lovely authentic Mexican food and atmosphere. Service was great and all orders were correct even with lots of special requests from our large party.
