801 Chophouse – Kansas City

I highly recommend the Ribeye, Mac n Cheese, and Oysters! Pricey but worth every dime. I can't wait to return

801 Chop didn’t disappoint! The steaks were done perfectly, with a nice crust on the outside and a perfect medium tenderness to the inside. The cognac butter and portobello mushroom topping was wonderful. Sides were incredible as well. The only thing lacking was the whiskey menu that did not come close to the level I’d expect from this tier of restaurants. No Stagg, Weller FP, CYPB, Antique 107, nothing noteworthy beyond the Pappy. Service was friendly, but very slow to get around to ordering which I’m not sure was the intention or just a byproduct of a weeknight.

Everything was great. Ben was our server and took great care of us. The crab cake appetizer was fantastic. The steak with the bone marrow butter on top was amazing. The surprise star of the show was the Mushroom Pan Roast side dish. The mushrooms topped with that cheese really put the meal over the edge and paired perfectly with my steak. The broccolini and mashed potatoes were good, but the mushrooms were so much better that I kind of forgot about the other sides. Overall 5/5 would recommend

Our waitress Camille did the most amazing job! I got it. I got it I gotta go. 

The Chophouse was absolutely wonderful! They had birthday confetti on the table and the server was very attentive! The fillet was the best I have ever had! It is a perfect place for a romantic dinner! I loved every minute of it.
