Sad story. I have been studying at ucla for five years, and I think food here is ok and service is not bad. HOWEVER, when I went there last time for lunch, the waitress there was really rude and made me angry. She kept asking me why I can 't sit elsewhere and obviously the table she wanted me to sit has someone 's bag there, it 's occupied. She kept complaining about having no time to do the cleaning job for the table and questioned me you can pick any table but why this one , which made me mad. I am a customer supposed to be seated but since no one was there to instruct so I picked my favorite. I don 't know why she 's treating people like this, is it because I am international student or because I speak Chinese? PLEASE don 't ruin people 's mood and treat people DIFFERENTLY！

We went there one summer afternoon at 85’F outside. The restaurant has No AC, not even a fan. We sweated like crazy.

Very bad beef bowl. Likely the worst I've ever had. Shredded beef that's more fat than beef, at least half of the bowl was just cabbage, sour taste, and the meatballs were very strange. Not ground beef, bit looked more like liver. Really really bad.

It was okay by LA standards. We ordered the Yunan Special Mixian. The broth was flavorful but blend and didn’t taste like quite like authentic Yunan rice noodle soup.The cold dish Spicy beef was the highlight of the whole meal.

Beef sirloin with rice is the best, do not do take outs because the flavor degrades very quickly.
