I love this place but it's just so expensive for the portion you get..I could eat 3 orders and I'm 5'2 female. I went a lot at first but haven't been in so long bc I can't justify the price
I had very high expectations of this place since I saw it on an IG food post. First of all, I'd give it 4 stars for the authentic street food experience as there are tables and little plastic chairs set up on the sidewalk to eat like you are in Southeast Asia. There were essentially 4 stalls... 1st stall had Thai inspired desserts crepes/mango sticky rice. 2nd stall had an assortment of papaya/vermicelli cold seafood salads grilled meat. 3rd stall (what I came for) was the Radna/pad Thai/pad-see-ew stir-fry dishes. And last stall had more fried dishes like fried chicken/ fried chicken skins/fried shrimp and such.I was utterly disappointed . Disclaimer: I don't eat beef nor pork. The Radna spot only had pork as an option. Sadly, I chose the pad Thai with tofu and small fried shrimps. I didn't care for the tofu, it seemed like it was marinated and pan fried. The after taste isn't very good. I think fried tofu would've been better. No other protein so dish was lacking. I ordered the bbq chicken plate there based on the suggestion of the girl up front. It missed the mark also. Presentation is great but flavor was lacking. We also ordered from the fried food stall and got some fried shrimp. Nothing spectacular. Tastes like popcorn shrimp. What was unexpected though was the seafood vermicelli salad. It was full of flavor and umami. This was the best dish of the night by far. And of course we had to end the night with mango/sticky rice. That was also okay. Like I said, my experience is only based off of what I ordered. I would've loved to try the wok fried noodle dishes like rad na or even pad kra pao. I only wished they offered other protein choices. As for service, they were very friendly. When you order you get a pager and once it goes off, you can proceed to pick up your food. Sometimes they'll even bring it to your table if you ordered to eat there. Atmosphere was cool... because of the music, the smell of the food being cooked and pleasant weather at night made it a unique experience if you've never tried it before.
Looking for the best sidewalk That food in town? This is it. But it's also among the very best tasting Thai food around, whether on the sidewalk or at a regular restaurant.Everything is really well flavored, but the Pad Kapow stir-fried ground pork and basil bowl is not to be missed. Haven't had this at any other restaurants, which is a shame, because it's just that good.
